Rob Zagarella
Vice President of Worldwide Sales
As Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Managing Director, Asia Pacific, Rob is responsible for the company’s strategy, sales, and implementation efforts around the world. Rob brings almost 20 years of experience in electronics engineering, IT, and smart grid technologies, with special focus in sales, business development, and operations. Complementing his deep expertise in the smart grid space, Rob also brings a wealth of experience from such diverse industries as Defense, Mining, Telecommunications, and Security.
Rob is a well-rounded leader in the smart grid space, having worked both at large corporations and early-stage companies. He joined Grid Net from GE Energy, the global conglomerate, where he was the smart grid leader for Asia. Prior to GE Energy, Rob served as the President of US Operations at GridSense, a leading provider of smart grid monitoring and control solutions, where he was directly involved in the company’s private to public transition and drove the company’s solution into the US utility market.
Rob is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD). He received a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (B.E.) degree from the University of Technology Sydney, with emphasis in Instrumentation and Control. He has successfully completed the Live-in Executive Program for Growing Companies (EPGC) at Stanford University in California. Rob has also participated in numerous Leadership programs run by the world-renown GE’s John F. Welch Leadership Development Center at Crotonville in New York.
